In order to fully understand the Bettolino Story, we need to take you back to Gaetano’s story. Vince Giuliano and Andreanna Giuliano Liguore grew up in a true South Bay food family. Their great grandparents Francis & Gaetano Giuliano opened locally loved Giuliano’s deli in the 1950’s. In the 90’s their parents then went on to open Gaetano’s Restaurant, where Vince and Andreanna spent most of their childhood. After college, both of them felt an urge to get back into the family biz, they couldn’t stay away. In 2010 Andreanna’s now husband Sean Liguore came to work for Gaetano’s . His knowledge of customer service and love for food and wine made him a perfect fit. It has always been a dream of owner’s Vince, Sean and Andreanna to open their own modern Italian kitchen in the South Bay. It wasn’t until Vince met Chef Fabio Ugoletti in culinary school in Florence that their dream started to become a reality.

Chef Dominique Theval enjoys the constant change and excitement that his vocation provides: “Everyday, there is something different happening, so it is never boring,” he explains. Dominique grew up in Paris, he attended Ecole Hoteliere de Jean Ferrandi, a French cooking school where he earned a Certificat d’Aptitude Professionelle de Cuisine. While attending cooking school, he was selected by Chef Jean Plet to be an apprentice at the Hotel Meurice in Paris. He later became Premier Commis de Cuisine at Restaurant Relais Louis XIII. After working at a number of restaurants in Paris, he moved to London where he was Chef de Partie and Chef Saucier at the Whites Hotel and then Demi Chef de Partie at the Four Seasons Hotel, which earned the best restaurant of the year in 1987 by Executive Travel Magazine.
